Type of Mill: Cotton Spinning

Largest cotton spinning mill in the world when No.1 & No.2 mills complete in 1907 (260,000 mule spindles).

The engine house was situated in the centre of the two mills, however, each mill had it's own engine. No.2 mill and the engine house were demolished in 1965.
