Notes:
The original Bowling Dyke Mill was destroyed by fire in 1847. It was then rebuilt in 2 phases, the east section of the mill being completed first in 1849, and the west section completed in 1851. The original twin beam engines were supplied by Wren & Bennett of Manchester, and subsequent replaced in 1894 with a Musgrave inverted vertical.
